You said, we did!
It probably seems like a distant memory now, however some time ago in preparation for building a new website, we sent out a parent view survey to ask what would be useful and helpful to incorporate into our new site. We had lots of response and used parent voice to help us shape elements of what we now have in place. Thank you for all of your thoughts and ideas. We have put together a document to show collectively what parents suggested and how we have been able to action any of the ideas.
You said, we did - the new Bussage website.
Ginny comes to visit
Our 'Pets as therapy' dog visited at lunchtime today. The children loved seeing her and giving her a stroke. She is always a popular addition to our school day.
Autumn Fun!
Winter is definitely on the way! As the trees shed their leaves, the children have been having great fun creating forts and dens during their free time.
What a 'Jolly Nice' scarecrow!
Look at the fantastic scarecrow created by Rainbows Class which is ready to go on display at Jolly Nice. With a little help from some members of Mindfulness Colouring Club, our scarecrow is now ready to show the Jolly Nice visitors what Bussage Learning Power is all about!
Eco Schools Award
Mrs Edwards and the Eco Ministry have been busy yet again working with the school to meet objectives to gain the Eco-Schools Award for 2024=2025. We were awarded Distinction! We now have a new flag to raise on our flag pole and a lovely certificate to display to celebrate all of the initiatives and achievements of our eco minded pupils. Well done everybody.
Harvest Praise
This morning, we had the immense joy of sharing our Harvest Service with a wonderful turnout from our local community. It was heart-warming to see so many familiar faces come together to celebrate the spirit of giving and gratitude.
A huge shout out to our Values Ambassadors for their very first collective worship! They did an incredible job leading the service, embodying the values we cherish as a community. Their enthusiasm and dedication truly shone through, inspiring us all.
One of the highlights of the day was the outpouring of generosity from our families. The food donations collected for the Stroud Food Bank were overwhelming, and it was fantastic to see the sheer amount of contributions displayed. Each item represents not just food, but kindness, compassion, and a commitment to supporting those in need within our community.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported this meaningful event. Together, we’re making a difference and helping to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the abundance of the harvest season. Let’s continue to spread kindness and support one another throughout the year!
Here’s to more events that bring us together and uplift our community spirit!
Bear Hunt winner
Congratulations to the Bear Hunt Committee who raised a staggering £5069.40 over the wet and windy Bear Hunt weekend. Our winning bear for 2024, voted by the participants of the hunt, was 'Greece'. Well done to the Swann family for their winning entry in a very competitive year!
Welcome to our new website.
We have developed this new website based on feedback from parents and carers about what they would like to see and how they would like to access information. If you have any further thoughts then do get in touch; we always welcome thoughts and ideas from our school community.
