Class 6 - Autumn 2025 - Evacuate! Evacuate!
Welcome back!
Paddington in Peru
Everyone in Class 6 flourished this week by demonstrating exemplary behaviour on our trip to Bath on Monday to see Paddington in Peru. The children showed a wonderfully sensible attitude towards keeping safe while travelling by train and were very respectful of the other passengers in the carriage. We were complimented by several members of the public throughout the journey, which made us extremely proud. You all thoroughly enjoyed the cinema and once again displayed brilliant Bussage values throughout the entire day.

Class 6 Trip to STEAM
Class 6 shone during their trip to STEAM on Wednesday! Every pupil demonstrated outstanding behaviour, curiosity, and enthusiasm throughout the day. They listened carefully, answered questions thoughtfully, and threw themselves into every activity with real energy and interest. Highlights included the wartime role play, exploring the air raid shelter, stepping inside the evacuation carriage, and sitting in the tender of Caerphilly Castle — the magnificent steam locomotive proudly displayed in the museum. They were all a credit to the school and an absolute pleasure to accompany on this memorable trip.

Ukulele
Class 6 have started learning the ukulele this term and are thoroughly enjoying developing this new skill. They have already learnt to play several pieces, including Ukulele Blues, The Tango, and It’s Raining, It’s Pouring. Alongside this, they have been exploring different types of musical notes and have also learnt their first chord, C. It is all great fun and we can't wait to learn more!
Ukulele 2025

Class 6 have returned from the summer holidays eager and ready to learn. We began by sharing some of their Ows, Nows and Wows from the break, before starting our new theme: Evacuate, Evacuate!. The children already have an impressive knowledge of World War II and are excited to discover even more. We have lots to look forward to this term, including an exciting trip to STEAM in Swindon — and we’ll be travelling there by train!
