Representing Water

Our first attempts to represent water in art. More to follow as Class 3 complete their art work.

Class three have been experimenting with different ways of representing water in art. A busy afternoon was spent completing a carousel of activities, each using a different method to create a water like effect. The children will shortly pick their favourite and use it in their final piece of artwork.

Water worlds - mini water cycles

As part of our theme, Year three have been learning about the water cycle. After creating their own water-cycle wheels to explain the process, each child made their own mini-water world to replicate the cycle. We are keeping a close eye on the cups to look for signs of condensation and precipitation and when we have finished, each child will have their own cress to take home!

Year 3 2025-26

Class 3 - Autumn 2025 - H₂O

Welcome to Year 3 and our theme H₂O. This promises to be an exciting theme and we are looking forward to learning about rivers and oceans of the world, the water cycle and features of rivers. The children will also learn about different states of matter in science and how and why materials change states. Please keep an eye on the blog for updates throughout the term. Please find a copy of our theme web below, which outlines all the objectives we will be covering this term.Year 4 "H₂O" Theme Web
